Porno Locket

Popular in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, lockets containing pornographic images were frequently crafted to look like miniature books. I’ve seen only a half dozen or so of these lockets, one of which had a bible cover. The locket pictured below, circa 1900, is from my collection. It contains eight images of women wearing indiscreet body stockings, each labeled “pose plastique,” and accordion folded. Scale in centimeters.
